Spring wheels; tyres, pneumatic &c. - A pneumatic tube b, Fig. 11, is fitted with an inextensible hoop d, preferably of wood, of less diameter than the periphery of the inflated tube. A corrugated rubber band e, Fig. 4, secured to a canvas or leather backing g, is held on the wooden hoop d by means of a ladder-band j, Fig. 8, or transverse strips, screwed to the sides or surface of the hoop d.
