Stoppers.-In a modification of the apparatus described in Specification No. 21,468, A.D. 1907, the lever d, Fig. 2, which carries the cementing- apparatus, and the lever which carries the apparatus for pressing-down the joint-rings, are each operated by a bell-crank lever v worked from the starting-pedal a by means of a rod u. The fulcra of the levers v are adjustable to suit cans of different sizes. The two pieces of apparatus may be arranged on separate stands.
