3476. Bristowe, F. E. Feb. 15. Man-holes.-The bottom of a man-hole is made of a single block A, having a spigot at B and a socket at C for connexion to the drains. The arches are completed by corresponding sections E, F. Benching slabs are placed at the sides, reaching from the edges of the channel to the walls of the man-hole.
