Machine guns.-The pivoted handle-block B carries the trigger-lever B1, which is connected by special means to the trigger-bar D operating the sear E. At the rear end of the triggerbar D is a jointed member D', mounted so as to slide in the handle-block B when its depression d6 is acted upon by the end of the trigger-lever B'. When the handle block is turned to the position shown in Fig. 2 to afford access to the interior of the gun casing, the triggerlever and trigger-bar remain connected, the sear E, which passes through a slot d2 in the trigger-bar D, being unaffected by this movement.
