摘要
8997. Low, A. R. April 25. Transformerss.-Laminated cores, for transformers or other apparatus in which the principal or only component of the field is a simple alternating flux, are cooled by elongated and narrow slots having their length parallel to the flux and their least area transverse thereto. Fig. 1 shows a laminated transformer core with four slots ; eight or more slots, arranged as shown in Fig. 3, are used in the case of larger machines. Webs may be left as shown in Fig. 1, to strengthen the structure. In a modification, the slots may be made in an oblique direction by stepping the position of each slot in successive laminations. In the form shown in Fig. 7, the slots are continuous, thus dividing the core into separate portions spaced apart by distance-pieces C.
