Reducing- valves. - Relates to water-pressure reducing-apparatus for relieving the pressure on the cocks when turned off, of the type in which a piston and cylinder are inserted between the inlet valve and the taps, so that, when the taps are closed, the back-pressure causes the piston to move and close the inlet valve b, either through the medium of a rack and pinion d, c, Fig. 1, or similar device, or directly as shown in Fig. 2.
