Stereotype.-A stereotyper's paste for use in the manufacture of paper or papier mÔche stereotype matrices is made by adding sodium silicate to the usual paste consisting of flour, dextrine, water, white starch, and oxalic acid. In application, a facing of tissue paper is made by sticking together a series of sheets of tissue paper T with the above paste. The facing thus prepared is then stuck on to a backing B of blotting-paper. A sheet of tin-foil F may be applied to the surface.
