Casting processes.-Cylindrical metal shells which are subject to great changes of temperature, such as the hot pots of hot air engines and the ignition tubes of gas engines are cast with a closed end of nickel alloy and a cylindrical body of brass, gun-metal, or the like. The preferable composition of the nickel alloy is copper 41 parts, nickel 31 parts, zinc 25 parts, and iron 2À5 parts.
