摘要
349. Krause, O. July 5, 1909, [Convention date]. Filaments, supports for; leading- in wires.-A tube d on which metal filaments are entirely supported surrounds a rigid or elastic central stem, to which it is elasticallv or p i v o t a l l y connected, and is also anchored to the lamp foot or the adjacent part of the stem by springs e, which may be leading- in wires and may consist of copper or nickel. In the form shown in Fig. 3, an enlargement of the tube d receives curved elastic strips c on the stem, forming an elastic ball joint; the strips c are shown as part of an elastic stem with extensions c11 to prevent excessive vibration, but these extensions may be omitted, the stem may be rigid, and the strips c may be rigid on an elastic stem. Alternatively, strips bent to a concave form may engage a constriction in the tube. In the modification shown in Fig. 5, a tube d anchored by spring leading-in wires e, contains a disk c through which passes an elastic central stem b. In another modification, Fig. 8, an elastic stem b passes through a constriction in the tube d, either in the middle or at the end. Instead of spring leading-in wires, a flat coil spring e, or a group of three helical springs may be used. In all constructions, the joint or guiding connexion between the stem and tube is preferably near the centre of gravity of the tube. The tube may be of ordinary or opal glass. Specification 22,458/09 is referred to.
