989. Goldie, A. B. D. Jan. 14. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Bridles.-Horses are prevented from throwing back their ears, in order to prevent them from kicking. Two ear-guards D, D1 are adjustably secured to leather loops C, C' threaded on to the head strap A of the bridle. The guards are flexible, and are shaped to the contour of the animal's ears. They are connected to the loops C by means of a support F hinged at G, K, Fig. 4, and adjustable in length, and a base hinged at M and slotted at 0, the position of the guard being regulated by a screw J.
