Improvements relating to Photographic Cameras, for Taking a Number of Photographs, either all One Size, or Different Sizes on One Plate.

Cameras for taking a series of photographs on one plate.-A camera for taking several exposures on one plate, or for exposures of different sizes, is fitted with two transverse slides operated by racks and pinion to vary the width of the exposure, and with two spring roller blinds operated by two flat rods for varying the height of the exposure and its position on the plate.. The dark-slide carrier is adapted with coloured screens for colour photography and a focusing-screen. Two slides D, Figs. I and IV, are adjusted horizontally on the guideframes C of the back by a pinion G and two racks to vary the width of the picture. Two curtains I, Fig. III, are mounted on rollers H fitted in grooves in the frames C. The edges of the blinds are fitted with metal edges carrying staples K1, K2. The screwed rod L screws through the staple K1 and passes loosely through the staple K2. By screwing the rod L the height of the picture is adjusted, and by lowering and raising the rod the vertical position of the opening is adjusted. The frame N carrying the dark-slide slides on the frame C, and carries also the focusing-screen T. A notched bar R is supported at the top of the slide frame N by brackets P, and a catch S on the frame C engages the successive notches as the frame N is moved in successive stages for successive exposures. A brass tube is alternatively, used, having several series of holes differently spaced, and is turned so that the row with the holes spaced according to the width of the picture is presented to the catch S. For colour photography, a screen V, Fig. VII, with three filters 1, 2, 3, is adapted to slide in the frame N in front of the dark-slide.
