4719. Sutton, C. J. Feb. 25. Fire - guards.- Upper and lower guards d, e, respectively, are pivoted on a rod carried by supports a1 which hang from a grate bar. The supports a1 are preferably adjustable to suit bars of different widths and may carry a trivet a. The guards may be held in any position by means of spring or split rings on the pivot rod, or by means of nuts c1 on the ends of the rod.
