Drawing; drawing-dies. - For hardening, chilling, and polishing a previously-drawn tube, the die has two portions b, c, differing only slightly in diameter and separated by a recess for lubricant, the drawing action being negligible. The ends of the die surfaces are curved, but the intermediate portions are flattened, and the two dies may be formed in the same piece of metal or made as separate rings.
