Ferrule-extractors.-Extractors for removing the hands or pointers of clocks, steam-gauges, &c., consists of a bifurcated foot 2 adapted to surround the spindle at the back of the pointer, and a pointed screw 7 adapted to engage the end of the spindle. The foot 2 is slightly curved upwards to facilitate its insertion between the pointer and the dial. The end of the handle 10 may be formed as a screwdriver 11. In a modification, the upper portion of the screw 7 may be plain and the upper portion of the hole correspondingly plain so as to guide the screw.
