Portable endless belt conveyers; feeding- devices. - A conveyer for removing material such as coal in bulk from vehicles comprises a wheeled framework formed of side plates 1 connected by cross-rods and carrying crossshafts around which passes an endless bucket chain 30. A shelf 11 mounted on one of the plates 1 carries a motor, the shaft 13 of which drives one of the cross-shafts 21 through a train of reducing-gear. Means regulated by a handlever 67 are provided for driving the wheels 8 slowly in a forward direction and quickly in the reverse direction. Rollers 78 are provided for keeping the machine in alinement with the interior wall of the vehicle, and as it moves slowly forward the material is removed from the floor by a pair of disks 41 rotated in opposite directions from the cross-shaft 23 and is elevated and discharged down a transverse shoot 75. Pivoted plates 79 clear the material from the walls of the vehicle.
