Valves controlled from a distance.-A device for actuating gas cocks from a distance, of the type in which an increase of pressure in the fluid conduit opens both the main and by-pass passages, one or other of the passages being closed alternately when the pressure is reduced, comprises a pair of liquid seal or other valves n, o mounted on opposite ends of a rocking lever m oscillated by fluid pressure acting on a weighted bell g. The bell is secured to a reciprocating spindle h provided with a pin engaging an inverted Y-groove in a plate p attached to the lever, the pin being guided into one or other of the arms by a tumbler q. The tumbler works between stops r, s on the plate, and is actuated by projections k, l on the spindle engaging the forked end of a link t pivoted to the tumbler.
