Bacteria, cultivating; serums, - The blood serums, organic extracts, &c., required for carrying out the Wassermann test for diseases, are separately absorbed into fuller's earth, filter paper, or linen, and dried first in a current of air or other gas and finally in a vacuum desiccator. The dried material is stored in sealed receptacles or in receptacles containing or plugged with drying-reagents and in some cases having an atmosphere of hydrogen.
