Hats, securing to head.-A metal frame consisting of two parts A, B, looped together at C and having spiked extremities' for entry into the bandeau or brim J, is secured in the crown of the hat and supports an elastic band G, which passes through eyes or pulleys D, D1 and is secured at its ends to 'the member A. A pin K is passed through the hair independently, of the hat. The hat is secured by engaging the cord G with the pin, either directly, as by twisting it around the pin, or by means of rings H mounted on the cord G. The pin is withdrawn, by means of a cord M, to release the hat. The frame may be collapsible for packing.
