摘要
16,428. Beesley, J. Oct. 31, 1911. Billiards, cues for.-A spring cue consists of a striking-rod V sliding in guides within a case R, which is square in cross-section and is provided at its front end with a fixed: lug or rest V. The striker has a number of fixed collars X, and a trigger W engages one of these collars when the rod is drawn back against the spring X11. The shape of the case and the use of the trigger enables the cue to be manipulated with one hand, and the rest V enables the cue tip to be held firmly at various heights above the table. The tip may be fixed either to the rod Y or to a separate bolt S which is held in the case by a spiral spring T. With the latter construction, the rod Y strikes the tip-bolt S, which, after delivering the blow to the ball, is returned to its normal position by the spring T.
