Factory and like time-recorders, card-type.- In apparatus of the type described in Specification 21,554/07, wherein the card when inserted engages a lever G pivoted to an arm E set by the day-cam K, the printing-hammer k is first cocked by a treadle, turnstile, &c., and is then released by the pressure of the card through the medium of the limited movement of the lever G. The treadle-operated lever b carries a guided arm d provided with a tooth f adapted when lowered to engage an arm g fixed to the hammer shaft h. The rotation of this shaft causes an arm v thereon to rise and engage with a detent w carried by a lever y. When the lever G is depressed by the card, it raises a pin 1, and consequently the lever y, so releasing the arm v and allowing the hammer to strike the card against the type.
