July 1 Bandeaux are made by overlapping the ends of a flat split ring of light punched material, such as cardboard, so that the ring receives a conical shape of any desired diameter. The ring may be provided with grooves c, d, Fig. 3, and its outer edge may have a serrated or plain upturned portion c, Fig. 4. The cardboard &c. may be decorated with paper, fabric, &c. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 11,613/09, 15,377/10, 150/11, 17,115/11, 19,475/11, 22,484/11, 25,403/11, and 284/12.
