The two hooks 17, 18 for each jack 21 are controlled by a single indicator lever 14 having two indicating-surfaces 14c, 14d, and the pattern chain on the barrel 11 carries two sets of pegs and is moved after each pick to bring the two sets of pegs into action alternately.
