Dobbies. - Each jack-lever 45 has pivoted on it a pinion 43 having an arm 431 pivoted to a link 47 connected to a part of the framing. The pinion 43 is engaged by a rack-bar 40, which has pivoted to it a pair of draw-hooks 36, 37 each provided with two beaks 36', 362. The hooks 36, 37 are adapted to be operated by draw-bars 30, 31, moving simultaneously in the same direction, and by a central draw-bar 35 moving in the opposite direction to the draw-bars 30, 31. Each pair of draw-hooks 36, 37 is controlled by corresponding indicator levers 49, 50, Fig. 5, the runs 492, 502 of which are so arranged that the hooks 36, 37 remain in engagement with the operative lifter-bars for practically two picks.
