Inhalers.-An inhaler comprises a container a, Fig. 2, for a volatile solid or impregnated cotton-wool, a screw stopper b closed by a pivoted plate c, and either an oval mouthpiece v flattened at the end and provided with an adjustable rubber tooth-grip e, or a preferably rubber nostril-plug m, Fig. 8, having a well z to trap nasal secretion. Steam, medicated or not, may be administered from a pipe h by connecting it to the nostril plug m by a flanged tube l. Another form of inhaler comprises a bulb g, Fig. 5, for the liquid medicament j, floating or not on water, an air or steam inlet i opposite an outlet x and both so low that all air &c. must enter and leave at the level of the liquid, and a mouthpiece v with a tooth-grip.
