Indicators actuated by pressure of head of liquid.-The Provisional Specification describes a pneumatic arrangement for signalling the height of water in the compartments of a ship. Pipes leading to the bottom of the various compartments are connected to a multiple-way valve, by which any one of them may be connected to a pressure-gauge and to an airpump. The pump forces water into the pipe until the water which has risen inside it has been expelled.
