Sheet-carriers; delivery apparatus. - Relates to feeding and delivery mechanism of the kind in which the sheet is conveyed to and from the platen by endless chains or bands, and consists in so arranging the feeding-mechanism on a the rocking platen that it can be adjusted for feeding sheets of different sizes and does not interfere with the hand-feeding of the press. The sheets are fed to a table r and are taken by grippers q1 on endless bands g1 passing around rollers e1, f1, f3 on the platen b. The roller e1 is driven by rack and pinion gearing i, k from a lever h operated by a pin on the crank disk c. The wheel k is connected to the shaft of the roller e1 by ratchet-gear so arranged that the roller is rotated in a counterclockwise direction during the closing movement of the platen, and then remains at rest. After being printed, the sheet is carried over the roller /' on to the top of the platen, whence it falls down a. board s into a tray t. The shaft of the roller e1 is connected to the roller by a bolt-andslot connexion, so that the grippers may be brought to rest at any desired point on the platen.
