Safety-valves.-A duplex spring-loaded safetyvalve, of the type controlled by a pistonactuated spring-loaded balanced auxiliary valve, has the two pistons for actuating the main valves adapted to work in a single cylinder. The valve members 7, 8 are formed integrally with the pistons 5, 6, and are normally pressed to their seats by springs 15 bearing against sleeves 17 adjusted by nuts 18 on spindles 16, which may be used for rotating the valve members. The piston 5 is fitted with a guiderim working in a recess in the piston 6. The valve 7 engages a seat 10 formed on the casing, while the valve 8 takes against a seat 12 formed on a cage 13, secured in position by a removable cover-plate 14.
