Coats; straps and bands.-Military coats are provided with a yoke A of jean &c. on the inside o f the shoulders, and wide strengthening-strips D at the forepart of the waist supported from the yoke by strips B. Straps A1 stiffened by whalebone are attached to the yoke and brought through the front of the coat to support the knapsack E by straps E1. Waist-straps F are attached by vertical rows f of stitching to the strengthening-strips D. The straps are thus divided into a number of loops to support ammunition receptacles G, which may be of the type described in Specifications 22,230/13 and 28,778/13, [both in Class 9 (i), Ammunition &c.]. The top edges of the straps F may be bound with leather &c. F1. Straps H support the water-bottle and haversack, and a bag to carry the head of a trenching- tool 'is attached by hooks to the back of the coat,
