Vulcanizing-materials.-The vulcanization of natural or artificial caoutchouc or caoutchouclike substances is accelerated by means of a compound resulting from the interaction of an aromatic amine with an aliphatic or aromatic aldehyde or of an aromatic aldehyde with ammonia, such as formaldehyde-aniline, benzylidene-aniline, or hydro - benzamide. As an example, 100 parts of rubber are mixed with 10 parts of sulphur and 1 part of formaldehydeaniline and heated to 140‹ C. for about 40 minutes.
