14,631. Ollier, J. H. June 18. Animals, catching.-The spring trap-door d is held open by threads g passing across the entrance to a cell c containing the bait. In attempting to reach the bait, the animal gnaws through the threads and so releases the door d. A hole c2 in the side of the cell leads to a lateral box held detachably against the trap by flanges and guideways. Return of the rodent from the box is prevented by a spring-pressed door. Two such traps may be hinged together at one corner and arranged in various positions.
