Valves closing after predetermined interval or flow.-The port or waterway F which controls the rate of inflow of water behind the control piston of a water-closet flushing valve A, and hence the rate of closing of the valve, is kept clean by a spring-depressed regulator or cleaning-pin G which is reciprocated by the head L each time the valve is used. The pin is formed with a conical part as shown, so that the waterway is enlarged each time the pin is lowered.
