Tyre and like inflating valves. - In an inflatable life-saving garment, the inflating-valve f, Fig. 3, consists of an outer tube or sleeve g, an inner tube h having a lateral port j, and a rubber sleeve k covering this port, the sleeve being secured in position by winding wire &c. around it, as shown. The outer end of the tube is formed as a nipple or mouthpiece. A deflating-valve l, Fig. 4, is also provided, consisting of a sleeve m and a plug n having a longitudinal bore o terminating in a lateral passage p. The garment is deflated by withdrawing the plug so as to uncover this lateral passage.
