Stockings; pads.-A device to be worn inside the shoe to prevent chafing the heel of the wearer, and also to hold the shoe more firmly in position, comprises a cap a of vulcanized rubber formed on one or both faces with numerons flexible points a2; the cap may be lined inside with fabric, leather, flax, &c., and may be provided with ventilating-holes a1, and also with an elongated opening a3 for suction purposes. The cap is advantageously furnished with flexible tubular portions around its edges.
