Junction boxes.-A joint box for wire-armoured cables comprises a wrought-iron tube 1 slightly greater in diameter than the cable, flanges 2 having bolt-holes, and two rings 4 adapted to fit on the armouring 7 and formed with rounded parts 6 and bolt-holes corresponding to those in the flanges. The ends of the armouring are clamped to the flanges 2, as shown, by bolting the rings to their respective flanges, the rings also closing the ends of the junction box.
