120,181. Ballance, W. June 18, 1918. Toe-stalls; stockings and socks.-A toe-stall comprises a bag formed by two superposed pieces of material sewn together between each toe, as shown in dotted lines. A brace f passes from one end e round the heel and preferably is bifurcated at the other end and attached to the upper and lower sides of the sheath at a point h opposite to the end division. The bifurcation may be omitted and the point of attachment varied. In a modified arrangement the brace may be omitted and an endless elastic band attached to the open edge of the sheath to grip the foot. The toe-sheath may be incorporated with an ordinary stocking in substitution for the usual toe-part.
