摘要
127,053. Wilson, J. S., and Dalby, W. E. Oct. 30, 1916. Sights.-Consists of a telescope sight, especially intended for use against moving targets, pivoted to turn about the centre of the objectglass and having a cross-wire or the like independently mounted so that it does not move relatively to the field when the telescope is turned. The cross-wire or the like may be controlled by electricity from a distance. In the construction shown in Figs. 1 and 3, the cross-wire 3 at the focus of the objective 1 is carried by the armature of a galvanometer 5, 6 mounted in a casing 7 mounted on the gun cradle. The telescope, comprising the objective 1 and eyepiece 2, is mounted to turn on the casing 7 independently of the crosswire about an axis passing through the centre of the objective, so that it can be turned to keep the crosswire in the centre of the field. In a modification, there are two cross-wires carried by the armature of the galvanometer which can be turned through a definite angle to bring one or other of the wires into use.
