Doors.-A door 38 for introducing material into an apparatus for extracting fats &c. by solvents and afterwards evaporating the solvent is pressed against a rim 36 by a screwed rod 37 passing through a bridge-piece 39 engaging with lugs 35. The rod 37 is connected to the door 38 by a ball-and-socket joint.
