Tradesmen's orders and the like, systems of transmitting and delivering.-A centrally-located or common service dep¶t m communicates with one or more groups or blocks of houses either directly or through a subsidiary depot n by means of channels or ducts which are provided with tracks on which travel carriers for transferring articles to and from the dep¶ts and houses. The depot m would comprise a kitchen, receiving and despatching offices, and store rooms. The ducts may he below or above the ground, and the carriers may be propelled bv hand or power-actuated cable or bv electric or other means.
