Planing, shaping, and slotting.-In a tilting tool-box, the cutter is relieved on the non- cutting stroke by a spring f acting between the head of a bolt fixed in the cutter slide, and the end of the pivoted yoke a carrying the tool. A bolt g with a locking-nut is used to secure the yoke to the slide when the cutter is not required to be relieved.
