Couplings, non-automatic. - A pin-locking device for D-shackles comprises a bolt F mounted in the hollow-head C of the pin D and adapted to engage in a recess B in a projection A on the shackle, the bolt being connected to the lifting- ring II by a pin which rides in slots G in the sides of the head C such that, in releasing the pin D, the bolt is first moved forwards from a recess E in the head to clear an overlying obstruction, and is then withdrawn into a recess above this obstruction to the position shown in Fig. 8.
