Couplings, non-automatic.-The coupling-pins of shackles for mining trams or corves are prevented from rising by the gripping of the pin-ring in the jaws of a spring clip. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the ring L is gripped by the spring clips A', B' which are pivotally mounted in the plate D. A thumb-screw G and stirrups F are provided so that the plate D may be secured to the shackle H in the required position. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the ring L is held between the flat spring Q and the chambered part m of a central boss M which screws into the shackle H. The spring Q is protected by a guard-block R shaped as shown. In another form, the central boss M is made with two flat springs.
