Improvements in and relating to a process for obtaining the active ingredient of lobelia inflata

The process for the isolation of the alkaloids of lobelia inflata described in the parent Specification is modified by using carbon tetrachloride, trichlorethylene, acetylene tetrachloride, &c., instead of chloroform for extracting a - lobeline hydrochloride from the mother-liquor from which b - lobeline hydrochloride has been crystallized out.
