Transferring designs; transfers.-Maps, plans, diagrams, pictures, &c., for educational and other purposes are built up in successive stages by applying transfers in one or more colours to a sheet bearing a ground or outline design, or to a plain sheet if the first transfer bears the ground or outline design. Dots or other markings may be provided on the sheets and transfers for registering the successive impressions. For example, a geographical map may be made from transfers showing contours and railways, a medical diagram may be made from transfers showing successive stages of a dissection, and an historical picture may be made from transfers representing successive periods.
