April 12, 1918 Printing yarns.-In the manufacture of tapestry carpets, rugs, table covers, &c. woven with the pattern printed on the warps, the yarn for the cross-borders a. b, and, if desired, the corners, and that for the body or filling, shown comprising four repeats c, d, e, f, and, if desired, the side-borders, are printed separately, so that printing-drums of smaller diameter than usual may be employed, the size of the drums may be standardized, and a large variety of designs may be produced at less cost than formerly.
