Cyclostyle pens.-In order to prevent forging of cheques and other written documents a reservoir or other pen is provided having associated with the nib a pricking-device so that an inked and perforated copy of the original inked and perforated writing is simultaneously produced on a duplicate sheet. In one form the pricking- device comprises a wheel formed with sharp projections and mounted between the points of the nib of the pen. In the construction shown in Fig. 2, the pricker comprises a needle c located above the nib b and reciprocated by means of a rack g and a spring d, the rack being connected to a spring h which follows the movements of a head l resting against the palm of the hand during writing. The parts are contained in a casing k attached to the penholder a by bands m. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the pricker c is attached to a rack r, depressed against the action of a spring d by a pinion-wheel o which is driven by a wheel p in contact with the paper. The prickers may be tipped with a non-corrodible metal and may be operated electrically. According to the Provisional Specification. the pricking-devices may be applied to pencils.
