Clinometers.-In a pendulum clinometer a ball H is provided between one end of the pendulum spindle B and a screw G for adjusting the axial pressure on the spindle. The spindle is mounted in bosses D, C formed on the front and rear walls of a casing A which is let into a straight-edge. The front wall A1 is graduated for co-operation with a pointer E secured to the spindle.
