Guards.-A. guard for the bevel-wheel on the side shaft of a carding-engine which drives the feed roller shaft, comprises a box with a hinged lid A secured by a screw B. The lid, one side, and bottom, are cut away at C to accommodate the large bevel wheel on the feed roller shaft, and the other side has a slot D to admit the side shaft. The guard is supported from the bracket carrying the side shaft.
