Carding-engines.-A lattice or conveying-apron for carding-engines and for other uses consists of metal or like laths a having their edges curled over as shown, so that they can be slid longitudinally into the similarly-curled edges of joining strips c to form a series of tubular joints connecting the laths into a flexible belt. The edges of either the laths or the strips c may be further curled to form a bead, or a small wire rod may be passed through. Relative longitudinal motion of the laths and strips and rods is prevented by turning over the ends g.
