Coating materials in long lengths.-Apparatus described in Specification 217,648 for coating cinematograph films and other webs is modified by the substitution of roller apparatus for the pads. The liquid is applied by a roller 3 to the band as it passes round a drum 4 the thickness of the coating being regulated by an adjustable roller 6.
