Kinematograph apparatus. - An intermittent sprocket b, adapted to engage a considerable length of film, is associated' with a maltese cross mechanism in which the rotating pin g engages a wheel having a larger number of radial slots c2. This construction ensures that the period of rest of the film is considerably increased as campared with the period of movement, and renders a rotary shutter unnecessary. The intermittent angular movement of the multisect disc c is about 22 ¢‹. After leaving the intermittently operated sprocket b by way of the pressure roller d2, the film passes over a continuously moving sprocket m on its way to the spool n.
